Held from 2-4 pm – Sunday 4th December 2022 at Kate Sheppard House in Ilam Road, Christchurch

Everyone wore orange to acknowledge our allegiance to this cause.

Zonta’s four Canterbury club members and the public where present to hear from the NZ Police, Family Protection,Empowerment Trust and SASH (Students Against Sexual Harm) on domestic violence in our community. The statistics from the police was particularly disturbing. This is one of our events to support our Zonta Says No to violence against women campaign activation period of 25 November – 10 December.

Zonta’s Aim: Zonta International and our members work at the international, national and local levels to realize our vision of a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential, where women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men, and where no woman lives in fear of violence.
