We welcomed 140 + attendees at the Annual Zonta Conference held here in christchurch. We are overjoyed to announce that we successfully achieved our targets and budgets, making the 17th Conference in Aotearoa New Zealand a resounding success!
The conference and opening cocktail party was held at the Town Hall, and a celebration Gala Dinner at the Art Gallery. There was much excitement, camaraderie, and friendship, and we came together to envision building a brighter future for women and girls. Seeing everyone enjoy each other’s company and collaborating towards this shared goal was a powerful and memorable experience.
Orange shoes where displayed to dedicate to all the women who have died from domestic violence over the past year which supports our Zonta Says No to Domestic Violence to women and girls campaign between 25 November and 10 December every year.
Our very own member Phillippa Jacobs-Lory as New Zealand Zonta Convenor opened and convened the conference, and with her conference committee made this an amazing success.
